I hadn't realized the massive effort of the Manhattan Project included the large facilities in the Northwest to process nuclear material. This area was chosen due to its isolation, massive sources of water and electricity. The Reach Museum tells the story.
My cousin Marilyn's imitation of Vanna White pointing the way to the Museum.

April 2016 Computer Museum & Pinball Museum
While visiting my niece and her family in Mountain View, I spent an afternoon at the Computer Museum in Mountain View CA. You know you are getting old when you see a bunch of stuff that you once thought was cutting edge stuff, now in a museum. It is really hard using mere pictures to show the incredible stuff within this museum.
On my relatives suggested several other attractions that I might find interest in and upon hearing about the Pinball Museum in Alameda, CA, I knew that was the place to spend another afternoon. Once again, I came across things in a Museum that I had known from my earlier years. In addition to pinball machines, they also had displays of pinball art. In one room, they were setting up to have an art show.
This truck had nothing to do with the Pinball Museum other than it was in the public parking lot behind their building. I liked so how could I not take a picture of it?
